CYBER Erasmus Mundus Master in CYberspace, Behavior and E-theRapy

The CYBER Erasmus Mundus Master in Cyberspace, Behavior and E-theRapy is a two-year Erasmus+-funded, joint master program. Designed by the Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias (Lisbon), University of Barcelona (Spain), and Université Paris Cité (France), it brings together students from Human Behavior (HBB) and Exact Sciences & Engineering Background (EEB) to explore how digital processes, products, and systems impact human behavior. The program is rooted in collaborative innovation, pairing HBB and EEB students into “CYBER-Teams” (CYBER-T) that journey together through coursework, internships, and a dissertation or project.

Over four semesters, students begin together at Universidade Lusófona, then alternate between Barcelona and Paris, finally engaging in global internships with 35 associated partners across industry, research, and healthcare institutions. Upon completion, graduates earn both joint and multiple degree diplomas along with a diploma supplement, reflecting the international depth and academic rigor of the CYBER Erasmus Mundus experience.

Description of the CYBER Erasmus Mundus Program

The CYBER Erasmus Mundus program is crafted to bridge behavioral sciences and digital engineering. It unites students with Human Behavior (HBB) and Exact Sciences & Engineering Backgrounds (EEB) to collaboratively design digital interventions impacting human behavior. Structured as a four-semester journey, it includes theoretical courses, team-based projects, and international internships, all culminating in a dissertation or project grounded in real-world application.

Admission Requirements

• Background in human behavior sciences (e.g., Psychology, Medicine) or exact/engineering sciences (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) with BSc or MSc
• Academic excellence; limited to 12 students per background per intake (24 total)
• Submission of: ID, diplomas/transcripts (with certified English translation if needed), CV, 2–3 recommendation letters, motivational texts, and English proficiency proof (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL)

Semester 1 (at UL):

• Brain, Mind and Behaviour (5 ECTS)
• Research Methods in Cyberspace, Behavior and E-therapy (10 ECTS)
• Cyberspace, Behaviour and E-Therapy (5 ECTS)
• Optional Course I (5 ECTS) & II (5 ECTS)

Semester 2:

• EEB Track (Barcelona): Data Processing & e-Health, Ethics, Neurophysiology, etc., and Practicum I (15 ECTS)
• HBB Track (Paris): e-Therapy, Behaviour Disorders, Cognitive Neuroscience, Practicum I (15 ECTS)

Semester 3:

• HBB (Paris): Telepresence, Teleconsultation, UX, Ethics (total 12 ECTS)
• EEB (Barcelona): Psychological Intervention, Health Psychology, Psychopathology (total ~18 ECTS)
• Thematic seminars at UL (12 ECTS)

Semester 4:

• Practicum II (15 ECTS) & Dissertation/Project (15 ECTS) conducted during global internships
